Habitat in the original area: undergrowth of forests and shrubs
Habitus: An evergreen shrub with creeping and climbing ability thanks to rooting branches.
Leaf: The egg-shaped leaves, pointed at the top, have a finely serrated edge. On the underside there is a protruding vein.
Bloom, fruit: The blossoms are small, greenish white, and they bloom from June to July. The fruit is a pink capsule hiding white seeds with a red sac.
Interesting fact: Cultivars with white-streaked leaves are often planted. It is the most frost-resistant of the cultivated euonymuses.
